Former BLIND GUARDIAN Drummer Suffering From Ear Infection

June 10, 2005

Former BLIND GUARDIAN/current SAVAGE CIRCUS drummer Thomen Stauch has posted the following message on his official web site:

"Unfortunately, I have to tell you that I won't be able to join you on our exclusive four-song presentation from our first SAVAGE CIRCUS album 'Dreamland Manor' on the Sweden Rock Festival this Saturday (June 11th)

"Some days ago I noticed pain and losses of several frequencies in my right ear, which, by my doctor's diagnosis, seems to be a acute hearing loss in cause of stress and sometimes also appears because of a virus infection. He gave me the strict order to rest a lot and to avoid music and noises for the next weeks. Further he prescribed me several kinds of pills to speed up the curing process. He strictly advised me to follow his order, since otherwise there would be a risk of having long terming problems with my hearing.

"As for the four songs you'd expected to hear on the festival: Don't worry!!! Jens and Emil (v, g) will be there for sure to answer your questions and to present the four songs to you. I hope you like it and you'll have lots of fun together and in general with all the bands on the festival!!! Enjoy it and keep on rockin!!!!

"As soon as I feel better we'll try to find several different activities to promote our album in your beautiful country. I hope you can understand the actual situation. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again after such a long time since the last show I played in front of you great people with my ex-band BLIND GUARDIAN. But life goes on..."
